SubscribeBut to ensure that there is a successful switch, there are 5 tips that you need to consider when you undertake the process.
- There Will Be Less Complexity
The first thing to consider is that when you are automating these systems, there will be less complexity, as the majority of software providers will have automated migration tools. This is designed to save you time from typing in information about your workplace or goals.
You may have heard that there is a bit of a competition with many people stating that workplace automation is very much Active Batch vs Control M in 2022, but both systems allow for seamless automated migration without the need to input code.
- Start From Scratch
In some cases, if you have a very complex workflow or IT system, it can be easier to start with these programs from scratch. This approach will require a great amount of investment, time, and people to build up the new processes. This should make the process a lot easier, as you will be building on a blank slate and there will not be any pre-existing or broken processes entered into the software which can cause problems down the line, especially when it comes to predicting targets.
- Know Your Contracts
If you had delegated the task of managing your workload process to an external provider, then it is well worth reviewing the contract that you have with them to ensure that your staff is trained and up to date on the new systems when the contract ends. This can also allow you to book training seminars and get yourself up to speed on the new software and have consultations with the software providers if you have any queries.
- Back It Up
If you are going to be switching your predetermined workload to the new systems, make sure you back it up. Although both ActiveBatch and Control-M do have built-in systems to protect information that is entered, if there is a glitch with your computer, then all of that information can be irretrievably lost. So, make sure it is backed up.
- Staff Training
As mentioned earlier, when it comes to using both ActiveBatch and Control-M, for it to be successfully integrated into your business, both you and your staff will need to know how to use them. This is why it is advisable to send your staff onto training courses, so they can identify potentially where they need to develop their skill set with the new software. This will enable them to use it without hassle when it becomes the primary source of workflow automation.
