New Glasgow Training Space for UK Debt Expert Features Angled Desk Design

UK Debt Expert has opened a new dedicated training environment in Glasgow, with an angled desk layout forming one of the most noticeable features of the space.

The training area has been designed to give new employees a dedicated place to learn about the company, its culture and its working practices. Rather than using a traditional classroom-style setup, the space combines angled workstations, flexible furniture and breakout areas to support different forms of training.

A Different Approach to Desk Layouts

One of the standout elements of the Glasgow project is the positioning of the desks.

Instead of placing workstations in straight rows, the desks are arranged at an angle. This gives the room a less rigid appearance while also helping to create a more open and flexible environment for learners.

The layout forms part of the wider flexible training space created for UK Debt Expert by Amos Beech, which has been designed to accommodate everything from individual e-learning to collaborative sessions and presentations.

Flexibility at the Heart of the Design

The space has been planned so that it can adapt to different training requirements throughout the day.

Flexible tables and dedicated workstations allow employees to work independently or as part of a group, while mobile presentation equipment makes it easier to change the room depending on the type of session taking place.

This adaptability means the environment can support formal induction sessions as well as more informal discussions and team-based learning.

Breakout Areas Add More Options

The main training area is supported by a tiered breakout space that can be used for presentations, discussions and collaborative activities.

Open shelving and integrated storage help to define the different areas without completely separating them. This allows the training environment to retain an open feel while still providing employees with distinct spaces for different tasks.

Colour Helps Give the Space Its Own Identity

The Glasgow training suite also makes use of colour to establish a clear identity.

While the space follows elements of the wider Creditfix Group branding, yellow has been combined with green and blue to distinguish the UK Debt Expert environment from other offices in the building.

The colours feature across flooring, furniture and bespoke wall graphics, helping to create a bright and recognisable setting.

Natural Finishes Soften the Environment

Natural timber finishes and planting have also been introduced throughout the space.

These elements help balance the brighter colours and bring additional warmth to the training area. Integrated acoustic features have also been included as part of the design, helping to support a comfortable working environment.

Moving Away From the Traditional Training Room

The completed project reflects a broader move away from fixed, classroom-style training environments.

For UK Debt Expert, the angled desk design is just one part of a wider approach focused on adaptability, collaboration and employee experience.
