What is a different type of corporate getaway? Every year, so many companies do the same sort of break for their employees, which is still a treat but not as exciting as it’s been done before. Instead, to make things more interesting and show you have put some thought into it, why not do something different?

When you start to do your research, you’ll see a whole plethora of different types of corporate getaways that you can do, which isn’t your standard city break in London or beach break in Majorca. Instead, you can make things more interesting and do a Camino De Santiago in France, a road trip through Montenegro and Croatia or a kayaking adventure through the Norwegian Fjords – the possibilities are endless.

To give you some inspiration, we have put together three different types of corporate getaways that you can do in 2025 that we are sure your employees will love.

Hiking Corportage Getaway

You may not have thought of hiking as a good corporate getaway when, in actual fact, it’s a great one! A hiking trip gives your employees many hours to walk and talk, helping them get to know each other on a more intimate level – this will help them perform better at work. A hiking trip also gives them a chance to see incredible landscapes that are often difficult to get to via transport, meaning they are unspoilt and will be working out at the same time, keeping them fit and active.

Road Trip

A road trip is very enjoyable as you get to see multiple destinations in one trip. One day you could be swimming in crystal clear waters, the next, exploring a major city and going to watch a theatre show. Depending on how long you are going away, you could try to fit in more than two countries in your trip or more than three or four areas of the destination you are visiting. When going away on a corporate getaway and going on a road trip, remember to factor in the size of the coaches you are going to need to hire.

Kayaking Adventure

If your employees enjoy getting active, then a kayaking corporate getaway will be right up their alley. On a kayaking adventure, you will get to see many beautiful sceneries from a completely different perspective – the water. Kayaking trips come in a range of difficulties, meaning you can find one that suits the majority of the people going away with you. If you have a large group with a mixed range of fitness levels, you could split them up and book different routes to match their ability, making the trip more fun for them.

What do you enjoy doing most on a corporate getaway, and what is the best one you have been on before? Have you tried any of the suggestions in our guide? Is there anything missing that you think we should be adding? Let us know in the comment box below. We look forward to hearing from you.
