British-based scale-up, White Label Loyalty, has partnered with Slovenian SKB bank, part of the OTP Group, a leading Hungarian and regional bank, after successfully making its way through the bank’s Startup Booster Program.

White Label Loyalty is one of 12 innovative tech start-ups chosen from over 260 applicants. The OTP Startup Booster Program was created with the aim of developing future banking solutions. It has been designed to enable a select few innovative technology businesses to test their products and services and aimed at finding innovative solutions to real-world challenges in the banking sector. Now in its fifth year, the pilot phase of the programme launched in September 2022 and will run until 25 November 2022.

The White Label Loyalty project is focused on customer experience and service with the objective of increasing the loyalty of existing customers and visibility among potential customers, as well as looking at innovative ways loyalty can contribute to improving the user experience by gamification of various transactions and activities.

“To be selected for this programme is a real honour”, said Achille Traore, CEO, White Label Loyalty. “The advancements made in the banking and fintech sectors have been incredible in recent years but there’s still scope for improvement, particularly when it comes to the customer experience. But that’s exactly where we hope to make a difference and being selected by the OTP committee will help us do that – not just for it directly, but potentially for the banking sector as a whole.”

Over the course of the OTP Startup Booster Program, representatives of all the 12 selected businesses will get a dedicated opportunity to attend comprehensive online workshops led by a group of mentors. In addition, training sessions tailored to the level of maturity of the startups as well as individual mentoring sessions will help the teams with business development. The acceleration period will culminate in a Demo Day on 30th November where each of the 12 companies will present the lessons learned and the progress achieved. Teams successfully concluding the pilot phase will move on to a six-month rollout phase of the programme where the OTP Group will provide help with the live implementation of their tested innovative solutions.

Gergő Szathmári, head of innovation management, OTP LAB, said, “We launched the Startup Booster Program five years ago to give businesses the opportunity to develop their innovative products and services, and to respond to real needs together for the benefit of our customers. In these five years, we have established completed 45 pilot projects and we are proud to be working together on solutions of international significance. The 12 selected companies this year were all chosen based on exceptional potential in their individual fields and we’re excited to see the outcomes of their involvement – both collectively and individually.”
