Our investigation involved personal interviews, analysis of dating app data, attendance at international social events, and review of recent studies. Yes, many Asian women are still interested in white guys. On international dating apps, we saw lots of Asian brides open to matching with white men. Our survey showed that 68% of Asian women who like white guys say it’s because they’re curious about foreign dating cultures and find white guys different from local men in a positive way.

Some particular reasons why do Asian girls like white men include:

1. Perception of equality: One key reason is the perception of more equal relationships. In some Asian countries, traditional gender roles can be quite rigid, with men often taking the lead in relationships. White men are often seen as more open-minded, treating women as equal partners and respecting their independence and wishes.
2. Cultural curiosity and adventure: Many Asian ladies are curious about Western culture. 4. Physical attraction: There’s also the element of physical attraction. White guys often have distinct features that some Asian girls find appealing, such as different body types, eye colors, or skin tones. While attraction is personal, the difference in appearance can create excitement.

The trend of Asian women marrying white men continues to grow. In the United States, about 10-12% of interracial marriages involve Asian women and white men. In countries like Vietnam, China, Thailand, Japan, and South Korea, the number of international marriages between local women and foreign men has also been increasing (20%), supported by online dating apps that make cross-cultural connections easier than ever. Among foreign-born men, the largest share is men from the US.

What differentiates white men from Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and Thai men?

Asian women notice key differences when it comes to dating white men versus men from Korea, China, Japan, or Thailand:

• Korean Men: In Korea, dating can be heavily influenced by societal expectations, with men sometimes feeling pressure to be the “provider” and the main decision-maker in the relationship. Korean men are also known for having very close family ties, which may mean family approval is crucial. White men are often seen as offering more flexibility and freedom in this regard.
• Chinese Men: In China, there can be a strong emphasis on financial security and stability in relationships. Chinese men may prioritize securing their careers or buying property before committing to marriage. In contrast, white men are often seen as being more spontaneous and placing less importance on such traditional markers of success, which can be appealing for women who value emotional connection over material expectations.
• Japanese Men: Japanese culture emphasizes politeness and reserved behavior, which can sometimes lead to a more formal dating experience. White partners, in comparison, are often seen as more direct and open with their emotions. Asian ladies who seek a relationship with more open communication might be drawn to this difference.
• Thai Men: Relationships with Thai men are quite traditional, particularly around family roles and obligations. White men are often perceived as offering more liberal, modern views of partnership, which can feel refreshing.

According to the Pew Research Center, about 36% of Asian women in the U.S. marry someone of a different race, with most marrying white men.

Do Asian women like black men: growing trend

We’re seeing more Asian women dating black men these days. It’s becoming more common and accepted. We went to some international parties and saw a few Asian-Black couples. 

What’s changed? Dao, a Thai student in New York, explained, “Things like K-pop and hip-hop are bringing our cultures closer. Plus, social media makes it easy to meet people from anywhere.”

Why does Asian woman like black men:

1. Perception of masculinity and confidence: Black guys are perceived as confident, physically attractive, and strong, qualities that some Asian females admire. Media portrayals and personal experiences can contribute to this perception.
2. Strong personal identity: Black men often have a strong sense of personal identity and pride in who they are, which can resonate with Asian women who admire men with clear goals and self-awareness.
3. Unique personalities: For some Asian girls, the personal characteristics of Black men—whether it’s their charisma, humor, playfulness, openness, or unique approach to relationships—may offer a refreshing contrast to men from their own cultural background.

Asian women from the Philippines, Japan, Thailand, and South Korea are more likely to date Black men, especially in urban areas. Exposure to global cultures, travel, and media has made them more open to interracial relationships.
