PepsiCo Europe has announced the appointment of Paula Marconi (pictured) as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) in Europe, effective today.

Marconi’s role will play a critical part in delivering PepsiCo Europe’s business strategy through sustainable profitable category growth, innovation and brand building.

Marconi joins PepsiCo from The Kraft Heinz Company where she most recently held the Continental Europe CMO role. Prior to this, Marconi held a number of senior marketing roles in several multinational businesses, including seven years at Anheuser-Busch InBev as VP of Marketing and twelve years at Unilever working under the personal care divisions.

Commenting on her appointment, Marconi said: “PepsiCo as a global brand is constantly transforming and reimagining its products and processes to stay at the forefront of innovation. I’m excited to be joining such an ambitious and vibrant company and can’t wait to help bring our vision to life for customers and consumers across Europe.”

Marconi joins PepsiCo Europe’s leadership team at a pivotal time of driving change and growth, and will be reporting into Europe Chief Executive Officer, Silviu Popovici and Executive Vice President, Chief Consumer and Marketing Officer and Chief Growth Officer, International Foods, Jane Wakely.

Marconi takes over the position from Ian Ellington who will be moving to a separate part of the business within the global marketing team.
