The Return of a New Legendary Weapon
Staff Description
Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest is a legendary staff, one of the most iconic and coveted artifacts in World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Classic. Created by ancient mages, this staff is tied to the dragoness Tarecgosa, a member of the Blue Dragonflight. Only the most dedicated casters who are ready to undergo a challenging questline and trials in the Firelands raid can obtain it.
The Process of Obtaining the Staff
The process of obtaining Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest can be divided into three stages:
First Stage
In this stage, you will complete quests where you meet the blue dragon Tarecgosa, who will become your temporary companion. At the end of this
stage, you will receive the Branch of Nordrassil, the first part needed for the staff.
Second Stage
In the second stage, you will continue with more quests (some of which require participation in a raid). At a certain point, you will bind yourself to the essence of Tarecgosa and imprison it in the staff, receiving the updated item, Runestaff of Nordrassil.
Third Stage
The third stage involves gathering Siphon Essence from the slain bosses of the Firelands raid and obtaining the Heart of Flame from Ragnaros. With this, you will receive Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest, and your faithful companion will remain with you forever.
Every week, a 25-player team can receive 7.5-11 Legendary Dragonwrath staves, while a 10-player raid can get 3-4.5 staves under ideal conditions. Due to the difficulty of the task, most players use Cataclysm boosting, as finding a stable team can be very challenging.
Inferno Protocol
The Inferno Protocol, also known as the Elemental Rune, is a new type of dungeon. It represents older dungeons that were previously released but with increased difficulty: enemies have 100% more health and deal 25% more damage. To activate this, you must enter the dungeon on Heroic difficulty and interact with the Mysterious Elemental Device. You can also access it through the Dungeon Finder Tool.
As a reward for completing the dungeons and defeating the bosses, you will receive Fissure Stone Fragments, which can be exchanged at the vendor Kyanite Stonetender for various gear, 11-tier tokens, and Heroic Trinkets from the first phase of the expansion.
Avengers of Hyjal Reputation
The Avengers of Hyjal faction was formed to fight against the Firelord Ragnaros and his army in the Firelands. You can increase your reputation with this faction by killing mobs and bosses in the raid, which became available in
Phase 3 of Cataclysm. The first four bosses grant 250 reputation points on Normal difficulty and 500 on Heroic, while the remaining bosses provide 400 and 800 points, respectively. As your reputation grows, the new vendor Naresir Stormfury will unlock new items that are available for purchase.
New Questing Zones
Two new zones, The Regrowth and Molten Front, will be introduced in the game, where you will begin your counteroffensive against the Firelord’s forces. To access them, you must complete all the quests in Mount Hyjal and then enter The Regrowth, which is located in the western part of the zone. Here, players will earn a special currency, Mark of the World Tree, which is used to unlock new quests, the Molten Front, and NPCs that offer quests.
Questing Zone Rewards
Although there is no option to earn a reputation in these zones, after completing certain quests and unlocking the Molten Front zone, players will gain access to new vendors: Ayla Shadowstorm, Varlan Highbough, and Damek Bloombeard. These vendors sell epic items of item level 365, as well as recipes and patterns.
New Boss: Ok’kutar
Ok’kutar is a fearsome demon leviathan who has made his lair in the western wing of the Baradin Hold. Once imprisoned in a cage, he managed to break free, and while roaming the halls, he devoured the unfortunate prisoners, growing larger and more powerful with each victim. He has become a formidable obstacle for anyone daring to enter this section of the fortress. His powerful limbs and sharp claws inspire fear, and his red, fury-filled eyes serve as a reminder that you are facing a deadly threat.
Conclusion
The third phase of Cataclysm Classic promises to be packed with exciting and diverse content, offering new experiences for newcomers as well as a sense of nostalgia for veterans. The main highlight of this phase is the Firelands raid, as most other activities are either directly connected to or dependent on it. Since
raids involve complex mechanics that require adaptation and teamwork, they can be challenging for many players. Therefore, consider using Cata boost services to help you complete them and obtain valuable loot. Prepare your food, repair your gear, and prepare to face this new phase’s challenges.
