When it comes to your business location you may find that you need to invite customers, tenants, and clients to visit for face to face meetings. It can be a great way to communicate, confirm business and deals, and sign paperwork and contracts. But, your business location does need to be a comfortable and inviting environment. Not just for your staff members, but most importantly for those customers and clients visiting. So here are some of the top tips to help you do that.

Keep it cool in the summer and warm in the winter

One of the first things to consider is the temperature inside the office and business location. Nobody wants to spend time in a stifling hot office or a freezing cold room to sign documents or discuss important deals and contracts. Make sure you have a decent heating system in place and perhaps install air conditioning for the summer months. Not only will your customers be happy, but your employees will also thank you for it.

Background sounds and music

The last thing you want is for your business location to feel clinical and depressing. If the rooms echo then it can make the space feel cold and uninviting. A great tip is to consider what you have playing in the background. Consider playing the right music for your tenants and your clients. Something that is calming yet upbeat, and not music that is repetitive or boring. Background sounds can soften an office and business location and make it feel much more welcoming. If you are a local business you could also consider playing local or community radio. But you may need to consider licenses.

Comfortable seating areas and furniture

Another thing to think about would be what your customers and clients sit on. From a waiting area that has comfortable chairs, sofas, and a coffee table where there may be a selection of leaflets, information or magazines. Then in office areas where you may sit with customers, tennants and clients, you might want to think about a comfortable chair and office set-up. Making signing or discussing deals easier to do.

Complimentary drinks and snacks

It is always a good idea to offer drinks and snacks in any waiting area, or be in a position to offer a drink when meeting with customers and clients. This might be having tea and coffee facilities where you can make drinks, or you may want to have a machine in a waiting area so that you can allow people to make their own drinks. You also might want to have a facility for people to drink water, or offer bottles of water instead. Snacks can also be a great touch such as biscuits and crips, but it isn’t essential. It would all depend on how many clients are coming to your business location and also how long they may have to wait.

When it comes to your business location you do need to spend time on how you make people feel. This can have a positive impact on everyone.
